About

Harford School traces its roots to 1887, when it was first established as the Mary Sowers Home for Girls in Rotifunk. It was later relocated to Moyamba in 1900 on land donated by Madam Yoko, a prominent Paramount Chief. Over the decades, Harford has been a pioneer in female education, producing leaders in education, politics, healthcare, and business. Despite war and challenges, Harford School endures, thanks to the unwavering support of its alumnae and community. HOGA-USA remains committed to uplifting the next generation of Harfordians.
